The Maternal Health Alliance of Maine is a network for mothers suffering from perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs).

We provide a safe place for women to connect, share experiences and receive support. 1 in 7 pregnant and new moms have a PMAD, like postpartum depression; locally in Maine, that means thousands of women, families and loved ones every single year need help navigating mental illnesses that are often taboo subjects.

Use the Navigation Bar at the top of the page to explore our online resources. Click on the button below to learn more about our empathy support groups, held twice per month in Portland.

You Are Not Alone.

It’s ok NOT to cherish every moment!
You deserve time to gripe, grumble, grieve, be grateful or just be with yourself. We provide the space and empathy for you to express the good bad and ugly of motherhood without judgment.
